They met a lot obstacles and various people, at some point they start to realize that the existence of

strong melee forces. Discrimination towards magic user is an old story here, yet it grew worse 10 years ago where they hunted magic users, who were mostly female. Path to go beyond ‘border’ is strictly prohibited.
